Abstract Mixed Media Painting

Luminous is the second piece in the artist’s ongoing series as a tribute to the Northern Lights. This abstract artwork uses texture and coloured foil to depict the luminous ray of light shining across the sky when this natural phenomenon occurs. The fleeting rays of colour shooting across the dark charcoal grey expanse of sky serve as an apt reminder of glimmers of happiness and hope in one’s life – however fleeting they are still fantastic and to be cherished. Mother Nature never fails to draw parallels with human emotions in her fascinating spectacles.

Deeride is an abstract artist currently based in Dubai. With a love for nature and colour, she explores her creativity through abstract paintings and mixed media pieces on canvas. Her pieces are inspired by a moment in time or a glimmer of an emotion that is treasured within every single piece of her original work. She loves to experiment with textures and metallic tones and embraces bold, vibrant colours in her pieces. Each element speaks to the human spirit and the intensity that is in Mother Nature.
