Abstract Synthography Art

The concept of a long, winding road with its ups and downs is like life itself. I am also lucky to have seen the Moon landings as a child and I consider it the pinnacle of human achievement. My representation of the Moon is kept simple as one's goals should be, the path towards your goals do have their ups and downs but they are largely smooth with tracks to follow if you become lost. The calm blue represent serenity because you don't want reach your goal and not enjoy its rewards or simply bask in the light of success.

Synthography is the practice of creating images with computers such as AI, photographic and modelling software and this image was created with Microsoft Image Creator and refined in Photoshop. I discovered image creation with Artificial Intelligence via a random post that came up on my Facebook timeline and, being the technology geek that I am, I was intrigued as to how it was done. I started with portraits as a familiarization exercise and the AI would allow me to add elements that would be impossible to photograph without extremely expensive studio setups and high speed cameras such as paint splashes. From this I did my first series of images of paint splash portraits. I have since experimented with different objects such as molten glass and water combined, the play of light upon objects and other abstract concepts including science fiction.
