This work draws inspiration from the elegant and diverse green palette often found in antique kimonos. The fabrics are carefully arranged to showcase the subtle variations of green, a color deeply rooted in Japanese aesthetics, symbolizing harmony, renewal, and the natural world. The piece is framed in paulownia wood, repurposed from a vintage kimono chest of drawers, adding yet another layer of cultural authenticity and historical resonance to the work.

Titled Kobachi, the artwork takes its name from a refined style of Japanese cuisine, where small dishes are artfully arranged to delight both the palate and the eye. Echoing this tradition, the composition invites viewers to appreciate not only the beauty of each fabric but also the harmony created through their careful placement.
