Osiris, the beloved firstborn child of Nut and Geb, reigned over Egypt with his beloved wife, Isis - the original power couple. However, Osiris' vengeful brother Seth (a.k.a Lord Voldemort) became jealous and brutally murdered him. In a fit of fury and evil, Seth chopped up Osiris' body into pieces, which were scattered all over Egypt. Insanely determined to resurrect her dearly beloved, Isis set out on a daunting quest. Using her powerful magical abilities - obtained when she learned the true name of Ra - she recovered all of Osiris' body parts, with one exception. After successfully mummifying Osiris's remains, Iset was granted her wish - her beloved husband was brought back to life. In a show of celebration and love, Iset gave birth to their son, Horus. But Osiris' resurrection was short-lived and bittersweet. His rotting body, green from decomposition, revealed the absence of one crucial body part. Unable to live in the land of the living any longer, Osiris was forced to become the ruler of the Land of the Dead, presiding over and judging its inhabitants. An eternity of judging was cut short, however, once Horus grew into adulthood and avenged his beloved father by defeating Seth - the ultimate villain.
