Fiesta De Color by Georgina Molet
Georgina Molet was born in Mexico City in 1966, where she grew up surrounded by the warmth of Latin American culture. She began to paint when she moved to Spain where she raised her two daughters to love and appreciate art. Eventually she relocated to the Middle East where she has been based for more than a decade.
She is a multimedia artist who explores culture, religion, animals, nature and Itotherthemes in her work. Her paintings are full of rich texture, energy and the vibrant colours of the countries she has loved including Mexico, Spain, Bahrain, the UK and the UAE. As seen in her art she draws inspiration from her life as well as her own experiences and uses colors to convey emotion, whether it is bold explosions of yellow and green or subdued purples and blues.
'Fiesta de Color!' is an upcoming solo art exhibition showcasing Georgina's stunning artworks and celebrating this multifaceted Mexican artist as she continues to evolve as an exciting painter who loves the media in which she works almost as strongly as her subject matter. In this exhibition, she showcases her beautiful works alongside a couple of paintings from her mentor Professor Jivan Hovhannisian, her inspirational mother-in-law, Maria Luisa De Mingo, and her daughter Sofia Ballesteros.
