Eri Farleigh is a Japanese artist whose work explores the quiet tension between inner emotion and the shifting landscapes of nature. Her practice is shaped by a deep sensitivity to texture, atmosphere, and the subtle movement of light across organic forms. With training from Parsons School of Design in New York, she brings a refined sense of structure to her paintings, influenced by her early career in fashion and her long standing interest in materials.
Eri began her artistic journey in Japan, where she developed a strong foundation in both traditional and contemporary approaches to visual expression. Over time her work evolved toward abstract landscapes that invite viewers to pause and reconnect with a sense of stillness. Her surfaces often carry a tactile presence, reflecting her belief that art can offer a moment of grounding and quiet reflection.
Since relocating to the United Arab Emirates, Eri has continued to expand her practice and engage with new environments. Selected exhibitions include Nature and Beyond, Expressions and Emotions, and Abstract Reverie with Artezaar. She has also exhibited with ‘This is Gallery’ in Tokyo and completed private commissions for collectors in Japan and the Middle East.
Eri’s work is guided by a desire to create spaces of calm within the visual field. Each piece invites viewers to slow down and experience the gentle dialogue between memory, landscape, and emotion.
