Shadi Motahari is a self-taught, Iranian artist, based in Dubai. She took her first step into the world of art when she was mere 3 years old. Her mother being a self-taught casual artist herself opened the gates for Shadi to enter into the world of art, which over time turned into a hobby and now her passion.After her post-graduation in Food Engineering she entered the world of food technology as a profession. During this time she had never lost her interest and had always remained passionate about art. A year ago, she realized it's time to follow her passion and dedicate all her time and energy to fulfill her long-cherished dream to become an artist.
As a passionate traveler, a cultural enthusiast, and a nature lover, she expresses her feelings and thoughts through realism and surrealism on the canvas and uses portraits and elements of nature to express her message to the audience.
Being a person with no professional training in art, she uses her own personal life experiences, nature, people, and their cultures as inspirations for her artwork's.
In her creations, she tends to use different medium which she deems is apt for the message to be conveyed. Irrespective of the medium, the sole purpose of her artwork are intended to take the art-loving audience into the world of realism and surrealism.
Shadi enjoys using multi-layered technique to create depth and appeal to a wider range of audience. In her artworks, she mostly uses dark colors for the background and vibrant colors for the subject. Usage of colors and shades always depends on the emotions/feelings/thoughts, that she intends to portray through that specific artwork.
As a budding artist, she realizes the importance of continuous learning which is a lifelong process of experimentation and innovation. Each of her artworks are a true example of her dedication and perseverance to excel in the field of Art as an Professional Artist.
