Shanu Jaiswal is an internally driven, emotionally charged, self-taught artist and an art educator born in central India and currently based in Dubai. She is a qualified Interior Designer with experience both in India and UAE. She crafted her journey as an artist by creating some unique styles in decoupage art and mixed media canvasses. Her recent favorite is working with chalk paints. Using a range of painting, colour and restoration techniques, she transforms a plain piece of furniture into a trending ‘shabby chic’ look. The creative process for her is one that is both emotional & automatic. To her, the art is cathartic -allowing her emotions to spill out onto her canvas as a release.
