Born and raised in Kolkata, India and trained in Corporate Law, it wasn’t until I decided to nurture my interests in visual arts and photography when we shifted to Dubai in 2012. I am a self-taught Visual Artist driven by my passion and emotions. My art palette is a mix of vibrant and sombre hues, which bring my subjects to life. I like experimenting with several techniques and media but oil is my favorite. Having lived in several countries, I use travelling as a great opportunity to explore and delve into the cultural influences and origins of the art produced in those various communities, cities and countries. I also get my inspirations from my photography and various philosophies which focus on nature, love, tolerance, worship of God, community development and personal development through self-discipline and responsibility.
I have participated in several art exhibitions across the world. I would like to mention one of them specifically which was held at Pro Art Gallery in Dubai where one of my work was exhibited along with great works of legendary Master artists like Picasso, Dali, Roy Linchentien and Andy Warhol. My work has also been displayed in Tashkeel, Atlantis Hotel, Ductac, Abudhabi Art Hub, ArtPlus, Mercato, Mall of Emirates, Dubai Mall, DIFC, DIAC and many other Hotels and Galleries in the UAE. I have been participating at Fabriano Italy’s International Watercolour Exhibition for last three years in a row and at World Art Dubai for last four years. I recently won the competition ‘Dubai Through my eyes’ conducted by World Art Dubai, which was held in April 2018 in Dubai World Trade Center and another competition named ‘Cultural Diversity’ which was held at Antique Museum in Dubai in September 2018.
