Dubai Creek Acrylic Painting
This is an acrylic painting using the technique of blocked in and glazing before the additional details are added on to the subjects. The artist uses the waters of Dubai Creek and abra (water taxi) as her inspirational subject for this painting, both these offer a distinctive perspective of traditional and contemporary Dubai. The artist paints the blue sky in shade of blue violet above the traditional dwellings of old Dubai and modern skyscrapers as her background of her painting. Her focal point of middle ground is the natural saltwater, tidal inlet of Dubai Creek painted in monochrome shades of deep turquoise and white for the foamy waves.
The artist's foreground subject are abras, which are half boat and half raft made of wood. Abras which means 'to cross' were the oldest public transportation of Dubai and used for transporting people and goods from two shores of Bur Dubai and Deira. The artist uses shades of burnt sienna, raw sienna, Naples yellow and black to paint the wooden boats Cadmium red, cadmium orange and light green is used to paint the seating decks. Coarse ropes tying the boats to the docks gives the viewer a suggestion of the boats in transit, while preparing for their next voyage!

After the order has been placed, the artwork will be delivered to customers throughout the UAE within 3-5 working days.
Rest of the World
For International orders, the delivery may take 10-14 days after the order has been placed. The shipping fee will be calculated separately and communicated to you the buyer by the Artezaar Team before dispatch.
You will receive an email order confirmation and payment confirmation as soon as the order is processed. Our products are delivered using our trusted delivery partners, who will contact you to arrange a convenient time to deliver your package.
Note that if you are not available to receive the order after confirmation to the courier, and we need to arrange a second delivery, an additional delivery fee of AED 40 will be charged to you for re-arranging the artwork drop off within the UAE. The charge will have to be paid as cash to the courier company.
