Ganesh Oil Painting
Ganesha is called "Vakratunda" because this name emphasizes the distinct shape of his trunk, which is curved or twisted. The Sanskrit word "Vakra" means "curved" or "twisted," and "Tunda" means "trunk." The name "Vakratunda" symbolizes the idea that even though life's paths may be winding and full of obstacles, Ganesha, as the remover of obstacles, can guide devotees through them. The curved trunk is also symbolic of Ganesha's ability to tackle challenges in unconventional ways, highlighting his wisdom and adaptability. This oil painting is inspired from our ancient temple carvings which are part of significant temple architecture. These carvings often depict Ganesha in various forms, postures, and expressions, and they can be found on temple walls, pillars, doorways, and sanctums
