Mandala Acrylic Painting 

According to Jungian psychology, a mandala is a symbol of a dream representing the dreamer’s search for completeness and self-unity. I used this symbol in my art to remind myself and the world that we are all one and that the universe is inside all of us. The color gradients used in this collection are connected to each chakra of the human energy system. Each painting is created with the intention to help the viewer clean and energize a particular chakra that is blocked through the help of a visual meditation. I created this painting to represent the root chakra also called Muladhara which is associated with the color red. I used a gradient of deep red to lighter red hues using acrylic paint to symbolize the energy and stability of the root chakra. At the center of the painting is a mandala that I created using a stencil, gold, and bronze acrylic mixed with gel medium. The red gradient background of the mandala symbolizes grounding and stability juxtaposed by the chaotic fluid acrylic flames around it, representing physical energy. By combining these elements, my intention was to create a visually striking and spiritually significant painting that captures the essence of the root chakra.
