This is an acrylic painting using the technique of blocked in and glazing before the additional details are added on to the subjects. The artist has centered Barjeel (wind tower) as her inspirational subject of her painting. Barjeels, situated on top of the building, are an integral structures of any old, Arabic architecture. Barjeels or wind towers are traditional form of air conditioning that have been used in old times during summers to cool buildings in the Gulf region. In this painting, barjeel is part an old, traditional architecture of a building of Al Seef, for which the artist has used the colors of yellow ochre, Naples yellow, raw and burnt sienna.

The various shades of earth tones stays true to its old, sturdy architecture, while shades of yellow and brown tones for barjeel suggests warm afternoon light of the day. The sky is painted in light blue with hints of white clouds. The standard blue sky suggests summer weather which is a norm all year round in UAE. The artist adds a lone pigeon perched on one of the metal pipes of the barjeel that suggests a lazy, warm afternoon. The pigeon added to the scene hints of a story of its own
