Abundance Revealed is a vibrant and deeply symbolic still-life painting celebrating prosperity, fertility, renewal and the extraordinary treasures hidden within nature. A magnificent crimson pomegranate, crowned with its distinctive flame-like calyx, stands proudly against a dramatic midnight-blue background. In the foreground, a second pomegranate has been opened to reveal a spectacular collection of glistening ruby-red seeds, their jewel-like brilliance contrasting beautifully with the fruit's delicate cream-coloured interior. Several precious seeds have spilled onto the cool blue surface below, suggesting generosity, overflowing abundance, and the joyful sharing of nature's gifts.
A cluster of richly coloured green leaves introduces a refreshing contrast to the dominant reds, creating a harmonious balance of colour, texture, and form. The painting's expressive brushwork, luminous highlights, and richly layered textures bring remarkable vitality to the composition. The contrast between the smooth, rounded whole fruit and the intricate detail of the exposed seeds invites the viewer to look beyond outward appearances and discover the beauty concealed within. The artwork is presented in an elaborate, antique-inspired frame featuring intricate bronze and gold ornamentation. Its classical elegance beautifully complements the rich colours and traditional still-life subject, creating a distinctive and timeless decorative statement. The pomegranate has been treasured for thousands of years, not only for its profound spiritual, cultural, and symbolic associations. Its remarkable abundance of seeds has made it one of the most enduring symbols of prosperity, fertility, life and renewal. In Abundance Revealed, the opened fruit introduces an especially powerful dimension to this symbolism: the discovery of hidden treasures and the fulfilment of life's promises. The artist has been inspired by artist in Yerevan, Armenia, for painting pomegranates, and this painting forms part of the "Abundance Collection" featuring Promise of Abundance, Abundance Revealed and Abundance Gathered.
