Old Man Oil Painting
This oil painting captures a quiet moment of solitude and everyday life through a deeply human perspective. The rustic surroundings, worn textures, and muted earthy tones reflect the simplicity and rawness of a lived-in space. At the center of the composition sits an elderly man, lost in his own thoughts, surrounded by objects that silently tell stories of time, struggle, and resilience. This picture was captured by one of my old friends who loves travelling, and for him, his camera is truly his best friend. What fascinates me most about his photographs is the way they tell stories of ordinary people and everyday life with so much honesty and emotion. Every image he captures carries a soul of its own — raw, real, and deeply human.
With his permission, I tried my best to bring this story onto canvas through oil paints. As an artist, I felt connected to the emotions hidden within the frame, and I wanted to preserve that feeling through textures, colors, and details. Transforming his photograph into a painting became more than just recreating an image — it became a way of honoring the silent stories that often go unnoticed around us. Through layered oil brushwork and expressive detailing, I wanted to preserve the authenticity of the scene rather than idealize it. The rough wooden structures, scattered utensils, and weathered environment create a strong sense of realism and emotion. Every texture and shadow was carefully built to bring depth and character to the painting. What drew me most to this subject was the stillness within the chaos — the quiet dignity of a simple life. This artwork is not just about a person or a place, but about the emotions and untold stories hidden in ordinary moments. Oil paints allowed me to create richness, texture, and warmth, helping the scene feel both intimate and timeless.
Renuka Sanjeev is a self-taught Indian artist based in the UAE whose creative florals, landscapes, and figurative pieces utilize rich textures and vibrant colors to transform her observations of the environment into soulful artistic narratives.

1. Shipping Rates and Charges
Shipping fees for UAE deliveries are displayed at checkout. For international orders, shipping fees are calculated separately based on the destination, package size, and weight, and will be communicated to you for approval before dispatch. All shipping quotes are estimates and may change based on actual dimensions, weight, carrier rates, and delivery details. Artezaar is not liable for discrepancies due to incorrect information provided by you or factors beyond our control.
2. Delivery Timelines
· UAE: Orders are typically delivered within 3-10 business days after payment confirmation.
· International: Orders are typically delivered within 5-30 days after payment confirmation, depending on destination and customs clearance. Delivery times are estimates and not guaranteed.
You will receive an email confirmation of your order and payment, and our delivery partners will contact you to arrange a convenient delivery time.
3. Billable Weight (Dimensional Weight)
Shipping costs are based on either the actual or dimensional (volumetric) weight of the package, whichever is greater. Dimensional weight is calculated by multiplying the length, width, and height of the package and dividing by a carrier-specific factor.
4. Additional Fees
Additional charges may apply for customs processing, duties, taxes, failed deliveries, returns, waiting times, address corrections, or special packaging requests. You are responsible for covering these costs unless the item is defective or not as described, in which case Artezaar will bear the cost as required by UAE consumer protection law.
If you are unavailable to receive your order after confirming delivery with the courier, and a second delivery attempt is required, an additional fee of AED 38.00 will be charged for re-arranging delivery within the UAE. This fee must be paid to Artezaar via credit card prior to re-delivery.
5. International Shipping
Artezaar offers international shipping on a best-efforts basis. Delivery times may be affected by customs delays or other factors beyond our control. You are responsible for all customs duties, taxes, and import fees in your country. Artezaar is not liable for lost or returned international shipments due to customs issues or incorrect address information.
6. Shipping Addresses
You are responsible for providing an accurate and complete shipping address. If there are address discrepancies (e.g., incomplete or incorrect address, or residential vs. commercial status), you will be responsible for any correction fees or increased shipping costs. Artezaar is not responsible for delays or non-delivery due to incorrect address information provided by you.
7. Undeliverable Shipments and Returns
If an order is returned to Artezaar due to incorrect address, failure to collect, or refusal of delivery, you will be responsible for any return shipping fees and re-delivery charges. Artezaar is not liable for the condition or handling of returned goods unless the item is defective or not as described.
8. Packaging
All items are packaged securely for safe delivery. If you require special packaging or premium void filler, additional charges may apply and will be communicated to you before dispatch.
9. Delivery Partners
Artezaar uses trusted delivery partners for all shipments. For international shipments, third-party carriers may be used. Artezaar is not responsible for carrier delays or actions once the package has been handed over to the carrier, except as required by UAE law.
