Yashoda and Krishna is the most celebrated mother-son relationship in Indian mythology. Yashoda means ‘the one who is giver”. She is the foster mother of Lord Krishna. Yashoda’s unfathomable love towards Krishna has inspired me to paint this. Yashoda brings up Krishna in Brindavan and plays a great role in Krishna’s childhood. This shows the importance of a mother's role in a child's life. The eyes of Yashoda in this painting show the unconditional love towards Krishna and the facial expressions of Krishna shows the innocence of the child. This artwork is especially done with finger painting tech with acrylic colors on canvas board, Being a mother of a child I want to introduce the epic example of mother love from Indian mythology to the world out there.
