Alfiyah is a Dubai-based fine artist from Pakistan, who enjoys painting various subjects in Watercolors and Gouache, but her main forte remains landscapes, seascapes and cityscapes in Acrylics.
The evolving mysteries of nature have always been a fascinating subject for her since the beginning of her art journey. Her artworks, mostly in acrylics, are her artistic renditions of unbeknownst landscapes and seascapes of nature. Her architectural genre includes rendition of UAE’s deep-rooted cultural history, deriving inspiration from the past traditions of UAE heritage and nature. She challenges herself to capture the picturesque scenes with every bit of realism in her own signature and unique style.
Her journey as an artist started from Ibn Seena English High School in Sharjah, while growing up. She went on to pursue a basic and an advanced course in Fashion Design, specialising in illustrations from Sharjah.
However, art remained only as a hobby owing to a decade’s tenure in different occupational spaces in UAE, Pakistan and the UK. She rediscovered art during her stay in the UK by self-teaching herself the necessary skills and studying resource books of renowned artists.
Her passion for art led her to work as an Assistant Art Teacher in Education Bay School in DHA, Karachi and Art Teacher in Karachi High School from 2018 - 2020, that led her to win the Teacher’s Award of Excellence in 9th ArtBeat National Child Art Competition & Exhibition in 2019-2020.
She connected with Artezaar after moving back to UAE few years back that provided her a platform to grow herself as an individual artist and showcase her creativity to the wider audiences.
