I am Archana Bellamkonda, an ayurvedic doctor by profession, but I always had an intense passion for Indian art.
This passion drove me to pursue art. I have had the privilege of learning from very talented artists and learnt traditional arts like Tanjore painting, folk art (Worli), Jhaorkha style of painting along with various other painting techniques (abstract and realistic). I also create sculptures and murals, and have been teaching painting and doing commissioned paintings in Dubai since 2002.
I have always been intrigued with spirituality and the Divine . My works showcase this attribute of my life. Painting is a form of meditation for me. I feel that it brings me closer to my spirit. It gives me immense satisfaction and pleasure to paint the Divine forms, my favorites being Radha Krishna. In fact, it was the eternal saga of Krishna and Radha that inspired me to be an artist.
