"Wassily Kandinsky said that Art is a power that should be aimed at developing the soul. I have been blessed to have experienced this power first hand", says Dipti. Born and educated in Mumbai, my eight year career in Dubai as an Interior Designer ensured my continuous connection to Art. The act of creation always gave me pleasure and I felt immense satisfaction when I took up painting as a full-time pursuit. I’ve always been sensitive to inspiration from reality that resonates with my inner world. Painting is my way of translating this inspiration onto a canvas. It is my way of sharing the inspiration. Everything I paint comes in its own time. Meditation helps me to calm my mind and hear my inner voice which guides me through my work. I realized early on as a painter that creativity cannot and must not have any boundaries. I often get asked what kind of paintings I do. If I have to classify them, I’d call them OPEN. My Art, mostly absent description, has a meaning for me but I leave to the viewer to determine her own meaning. I admit to be even curious to others’ interpretations and see what creative thought process emerges from free minds.
