My creative journey began at an early age and progressed in different ways and through different mediums over the years. In 2019, I first discovered a technique called quilling and began to experiment with it. Currently I am working on burned paper art originals. This form of art explores the process of what happens when fire meets paper. Each piece is completely unique and created with multiple layers of acid free high-density paper cut/torn by hand and then burned to give a range of effects. To create each finished artwork I spend hours designing, cutting,folding, burning and glueing paper, in order to achieve the required depth and movement. Some pieces are created intuitively, while others are pre designed, with each element drawn individually and recreated in consecutive layers. I am excited to bring forth this beautiful form of art and be part of that journey. Art has the power to tranform, to illuminate, to educate, inspire and motivate.
