Mahum Shoaib is a passionate artist from Pakistan currently based in Dubai, having a degree in pharmacy. She later studied Interior designing and painting to fulfil her passion for art. She works mainly in Impasto technique with palette knife to create movement and textures which gives every painting an innovative touch and 3D effect. According to Mahum, “I let my art speak, the words I have never spoken”.
Mahum is on a constant journey to find innovative ways of creating art by recycling & reutilizing old canvas / furniture. Modern, contemporary and abstract art is her style. Canvas painting is her first love. She also has a lot of hands on experience on furniture makeover, upcycling/recycling furniture and making them a bespoke piece is one of her forte. Painting wall murals and giving home an exquisite touch is also her appetite.
The following are some of the exhibitions that Mahum has taken part in: Exhibition Vision 49 in December 2020, Exhibition for interior designers with in January 2021, Solo Exhibition in West Elm Dubai in Dubai mall March 2021, Solo Exhibition in Pottery Barn in Dubai mall April 2021.
