I have been practicing art for leisure for the last 20 years and have explored various mediums such as oil, acrylic and pastels on canvas in themes of figures, landscapes and religious deities. Between growing up in Kolkata and having lived in Mumbai, Boston and Dubai my art has matured and been influenced by various life experiences. This fluid art series is my first tryst with Abstract art I am very happy to have found this medium of self expression. As the name ‘fluid art’ suggests, the act of pouring allows for a freedom of line and form, while the artist must exercise control in choice of colors and pouring techniques. The magic happens as one treads the thin line between control and unpredictability. Fluid art has brought me a lot of joy and excitement and I hope my artistic endeavors bring the same to my viewers.
