I painted Blessing in 2021 after experiencing a horrible burnout. For almost a year I couldn’t create a single painting which is not typical for me, a person who can’t imagine life without making art. My body was blocked, my mind was in chaos. I sat in front of the canvas for hours and I felt so desperate and empty. I even started doubting myself as an artist, and when my friends were asking me questions about my art, they irritated me. The inspiration came suddenly!

I woke up in the morning and felt blessed. I painted Blessing as I reminder to myself and people around me that there is always a blessing behind every challenge and every situation in our life. Something far greater always comes out of moments that test us. The most important thing is to keep going and keep counting our blessings. I recently started focusing on small, daily moments and my entire life changed.

Being able to create art, mix colors to get the exact shade I have in in my mind, is a blessing for me. I wanted my painting to help people to calm down and feel hope. I used acrylic paints, large canvas and gold leaf. I mixed my “ideal” colors for hours to make the Blessing look light, spiritual and inspiring.
