Hedonic happiness is derived from pleasure. It is most often associated with doing what feels good, self-care, fulfilling desires, experiencing enjoyment, and feeling a sense of satisfaction.
Rather than falling into the trap of mindlessly accumulating to the detriment of your own happiness, focus on practicing gratitude for the things you have and enjoying the process as you go. Embrace the little things around you. It’s the little things in life that make us happy. Cherish them.
“Don't rely on someone else for your happiness and self-worth. Only you can be responsible for that. If you can't love and respect yourself – no one else will be able to make that happen. Accept who you are – completely; the good and the bad – and make changes as YOU see fit – not because you think someone else wants you to be different.” -- Stacey Charter
This is one of my favorite quotes which made me take up my paintbrush and start painting without any limitations. Happiness for me lies in the thrill of creating new challenging artworks and the joy of achievement. This is one such painting. I always like to capture people’s emotions in my paintings. The innocent smile and mischievous look of this small boy will melt the viewer’s heart.
