One of my favorite paintings.

I painted Illusion In 2021 right after my trip to Liwa desert. I got inspired by the beauty of the desert and I was thinking about travelers crossing the empty quarter all alone, on top of their camels, and how it must've been like for them and what their core experience was like and how that initial memory was made for them. Made me wonder what they would think after coming across the desert and if they could even grasp the seemingly infinite amount of beauty the nature of this desert possesses.

I used Acrylic paint, stretched canvas and gold leaf accents to reflect the mystery and the Beauty of the sand. I usually mix 5-6 different shades to get the exact color I have in my mind. Illusion always give you hope, they say, the human mind is dead once illusions are scattered.
