Resources on this planet are finite. Objects cannot move independently, but we do, and we take those objects along with us. We consciously or unconsciously, consume, then dispose or exchange. A new life evolves when an object – a natural resource – has been propelled into the eco-system of consumption. The question is, how do we manage the impact of our consumption? The artist used found-objects as an analog for the transmission of consumed goods that were transferred into the eco-system. At the same time, she reflects on how people of various backgrounds subconsciously cross barriers between cultures, races, and religions through the transmission of consumed goods. She intends to nurture an awareness of how addiction to consumption, destructs our planet. Her work includes found-objects, with a non-art function, simulating the process of consumption, transfer, and disposal. The question is, how do we modify our actions and perspectives to nurture a responsible and sustainable civilization? The artist encourages a dialogue to consider the extent of our motivation to be flexible and tolerant in a society where a constant cultural transfer is a norm. Installation and artwork with found objects.
