Ucchishta Ganapati is regarded as the 8th among 32 different forms of Ganesha. In Sanskrit Ucchishta means-Tantric connotation. The blue is the color of uchhishta Ganesha. The inspiration was the incorporation of various shades of blue in this painting style of Kerala mural which normally has 5 shades (red, green, yellow, blue, and black) Ucchista’ literally means the remains and leftovers, but in this context, carries a Tantric connotation. Ucchista Ganapati is considered a tantric aspect of Lord Ganesha and denotes the blessed offerings.
