Dubai Creekside Acrylic Painting
This is an acrylic painting using the technique of blocking in and glazing before the additional details are added to the subjects. The artist uses Deira Creek as her inspirational subject.
The Deira Creekside is a part of Old Dubai, offering a nostalgic glimpse of the city's trading past. It is located alongside Dubai Creek, connecting the historic districts of Deira and Bur Dubai. The artist paints the historical hub in the background, under the morning sky and wispy clouds, in several earthly shades of raw sienna, yellow ochre, and burnt umber. The middleground of the river connecting the two districts is painted in glistening shades of deep turquoise, aquamarine, and white.
The artist paints rows of abra (traditional wooden boats) in the foreground of the painting. The wood planks of the boats are painted in shades of Naples yellow, raw sienna, and burnt umber, while the overhead shelters are in grey and white. The colours of the sitting decks subtely represents the colours of the UAE flag. Subtle shadows falling on the boat suggest sunshine amidst the soft clouds. While the abras are the focal subject that offers the essence of old Dubai's heritage and scenic mode of affordable transport between two districts, the artist adds a heavy flock of birds flying across the calmness of the morning creekside.

After the order has been placed, the artwork will be delivered to customers throughout the UAE within 3-5 working days.
Rest of the World
For International orders, the delivery may take 10-14 days after the order has been placed. The shipping fee will be calculated separately and communicated to you the buyer by the Artezaar Team before dispatch.
You will receive an email order confirmation and payment confirmation as soon as the order is processed. Our products are delivered using our trusted delivery partners, who will contact you to arrange a convenient time to deliver your package.
Note that if you are not available to receive the order after confirmation to the courier, and we need to arrange a second delivery, an additional delivery fee of AED 40 will be charged to you for re-arranging the artwork drop off within the UAE. The charge will have to be paid as cash to the courier company.
