Waterfalls Acrylic Painting

As a Venezuelan, it's always a pleasure to paint a beautiful landscape from my country. This is a painting of the world’s tallest uninterrupted waterfall, “Angels Falls”, which is also known in Spanish as “El Salto Angel".

It is named after Jimmie Angel, an American aviator who was the first person to fly over the falls. I painted this piece in an impressionistic style with professional quality acrylic paints on gallery canvas. Combining a variety of vivid colors allowed me to capture the diversity of nature’s own palette, and I used three distinct flat brushes in different sizes to distinguish the water, the plants, and the rocky mountain.
